The prevalence of the 164L mutation of the dhfr gene in Africa 

We identified 90 publications describing 184 surveys in 115 unique study sites in 29 African countries. Of the 19,923 isolates tested 164L was detected in only 130 (0.7%). They largely occur in one cluster spanning SW Uganda (Lynch et al 2008) and NW Rwanda (Corine et al 2010).
